Three voices, three perspectives, one common goal: making help audible.
For the “Violence against women” help hotline campaign of the Federal Office for Family Affairs and Civil Society Tasks, we created three radio spots that depict different realities of how women experience violence – a young woman, an older woman and a middle-aged neighbor. Three situations that show that violence against women affects all age groups and social classes and how close it can be to us all.
The creative guiding principle is clear: to tell stories sensitively without overwhelming and at the same time to encourage people to take action – real empowerment. The central message is that help is available at any time – anonymously, free of charge and around the clock on 116 016.
Our task was the sensitive realization of the radio spots: from the casting of the authentic female speakers to the sound design with music and effects to the direction, voice recording and final mixing. It was crucial to find voices that conveyed the stories in a credible, emotional and approachable way – without pathos, without pointing fingers, without over-staging.
The result is a spot series that doesn’t have to be loud to be heard – and that helps to clearly anchor a central message: help is available.
